In the summer of 2015, I became captivated by our political landscape. I wanted to join the discussion, but also to amplify voices. Out of this vague desire, Young Politics was born, a political blog by and for students.

Over its one-year life span, Young Politics received 6,600+ individual website visits, 15+ individual contributors, and 1000+ followers on Twitter.

The summer before – way back in 2014! – I worked as a journalist in South Africa, where I wrote articles and conducted research on the history of South African media through the Apartheid era. These writings may be found at here.
